Chris Dudley - Countertenor & Artistic Director

Chris Dudley arrived in the USA in 2001 where he gained his B.A in Music from University of East Anglia in Norwich, England.  During his time at Norwich, he was a Choral Scholar at Norwich Cathedral.  He currently live in Falls Church, VA. 


He's been a soloist with the Washington Bach Consort, the Handel Choir of Baltimore, the Washington National Cathedral. the Washington Choral Arts Society, the Georgetown University Concert Choir, Chorallis, the Chapel Hill Community Chorus, the Norfolk Chamber Consort, the Brattleboro Concert Choir, the Fort Washington Community Chorus, the New Dominion Chorale, and the Kennedy Center for the Arts.

​Here in the US, where he has been living since 2001, he obtained an MM in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the Peabody Institute and Conservatory of Music, of the University of Johns Hopkins.  He sings full-time at the Washington National Cathedral in DC as a Lay Clerk, and performs solos around the country.

On a regular basis, you'll find Chris inside and out of houses, listing, selling and marketing real estate to SELL, with Long & Foster. He founded the District Eight in 2005, and has changed it from a quartet into an octet over the years (now performing most genres of music).
